Joining the Sales Team as a Sales Executive, you will be the face of Johnson Controls towards our customers, and you will focus on always delivering excellent value and service with integrity.

What you will do

  • As a Front-Line Sales Executive within Johnson Controls Global Marine, you will be responsible for driving sales growth within the Navy segment, targeting large Surface and Sub-Surface assets.
  • Your primary focus will be on building and managing relationships with shipyards, vessel owners, and operators within the UK and selected territories in Europe.
  • You will promote Johnson Controls portfolio of HVAC, fire safety, Security, and integrated control solutions, ensuring alignment with customer needs and marine compliance standards.
  • Location: You will be based at our office in the United Kingdom, enabling frequent visits to clients. Travel is expected to be around 20-30 days annually.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan targeting the Naval market, with a focus on newbuild contracts.
  • Build strong relationships with shipyards, naval architects, vessel owners, and operators to position Johnson Controls as a trusted partner.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the UK & Europe leveraging market intelligence and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including engineering, project management, and service teams to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Represent Johnson Controls at marine trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings to enhance brand visibility and market presence.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline data, and customer records using CRM tools.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant marine regulations and Johnson Controls quality standards.

Candidate Profile:

  • We are seeking a self-motivated professional who excels both as an individual and within a team.
  • You should possess a proven track record in B2B sales, preferably within the marine, shipbuilding, or maritime equipment sectors.
  • Extensive experience in international sales, with a specific focus on new build projects within the Defence Segment.
  • Strong understanding of the Naval ship ecosystems, including key players, procurement cycles, and technical requirements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and travel internationally as required.
  • Technical background or familiarity with HVAC, fire safety, security or automation systems is a plus.
  • A degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written, with additional languages being a plus due to the international scope of the role.
  • Proficient in CRM Management (Salesforce preferred).
