  • What will you do

This position is responsible for managing test lab operations at the new EU Center of Excellence (Co E) in Dublin.

The operation will consist of multiple test stands serving cooling and heating needs for Data Center, Mission Critical, and Decarbonization markets.

When commissioned, the Test Labs will employ up to 20 operators, technicians, and test engineers.

How you will do it

Source and develop workforce for new lab, ensuring technicians and engineers hold all required EU certifications (e. g., F-gas, electrical safety).

Oversee and lead project to specify, design, construct, and commission the new lab.

Lead & manage Co E test lab operations.

Manage daily test lab operation balancing customer needs with resource availability.

Collaborate with customers to ensure testing quality and on‑time delivery.

Manage operational and capital budgets for the lab.

Work cross‑functionally with test labs globally (York, US; Wuxi, China) to share best practices.

Manage operational metrics to assure maximum efficiency and effectiveness.

Create and expand automation opportunities to increase utilization and efficiency.

Lead standardization of equipment and practices across test labs.

Represent the business in union contract negotiations.

Implement operator cross‑training and flexible resource planning.

Apply Lean principles and structured problem‑solving (e. g., A3, 8D) to drive continuous improvement.

Ensure compliance with EU regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.

Maintain strong coordination with Product Development, Advanced Technology, PMO, and Sales Engineering teams.

What we look for

10–15 years’ experience supervising test lab or manufacturing operations.

Direct experience with chillers or HVAC products preferred.

Knowledge of Data Center cooling technology testing is a strong plus.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience desired.

Strong understanding of Lean, structured problem‑solving, and KPI tracking.

Well organized with ability to manage competing priorities.

Experience building and leading teams.

Excellent people skills and ability to work in matrixed, multicultural environment.

Demonstrated ability to manage senior‑level business relationships.

Strong oral and written English skills.

Proficiency with MS Office tools.

Ability to travel up to 15%.
