You will support the design and operations teams in delivering advanced electronic security system (ESS) solutions across government, critical national infrastructure and utilities environments. This role focuses on producing high-quality CAD drawings, technical documentation and full design packages for systems including access control, video surveillance, intruder detection and perimeter protection. You’ll work closely with designers, engineers and project managers to ensure accurate, compliant and fully integrated solutions. This is primarily office-based with collaboration across project teams.

How You Will Do It

  • Produce detailed 2D CAD drawings, layouts and schematics for EACS, VSS, IDS and PIDS systems
  • Develop cable routing diagrams, containment drawings and network layouts
  • Create equipment schedules, rack elevations, riser diagrams and wiring schematics
  • Manage document control processes including versioning, classification and distribution
  • Coordinate technical submissions and maintain document status registers
  • Compile and maintain Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manuals
  • Ensure drawing standards align with company, government and utilities requirements
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure designs meet operational and regulatory needs
  • Support BIM coordination where required

What We Are Looking For

  • Required:
  • Eligibility for SC level security clearance
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, JVSG, Visio and Microsoft Office
  • Strong understanding of electronic security systems (ESS)
  • Experience producing technical drawings and managing document control workflows
  • Ability to interpret architectural, electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Beneficial:
  • Revit experience
  • Knowledge of UK/EU ESS standards and government guidance
  • Experience with leading ESS platforms (e.g. Gallagher, Lenel, Genetec, Axis)
