As a Design Engineer, you will design and price a variety of Fire Detection and Life Safety Systems to meet industry standards. You\’ll be responsible for all technical aspects of design, tender delivery, and maintaining a commercial mindset. Additionally, you\’ll present technology solutions to customers as needed.

This role is predominantly remote, with some travel to sites as and when required.

How you will do it

As a Design Engineer, you\’ll develop and present technical Fire Detection and Life Safety solutions to customers. You\’ll leverage your technical design knowledge and commercial awareness during engagements and project planning. Ensuring customer satisfaction through the review and interpretation of customer requirements is key.

What we look for

Required

Minimum 2 years of experience in a Fire Design Role with design responsibility

Proficient with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Packages particularly Excel and Word.

Ability to manage internal & external stakeholders at all levels

Experience working in fast paced, highly collaborative environments

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience.

Preferred

FIA Advanced Fire Design Certification

Site experience with surveying and attending design/customer meetings.

Knowledge of electronic security systems such as CCTV & Access Control

Experience of 3D drawing packages (Navisworks, REVIT, etc.)

Experience in designing large complex fire protection systems would be advantageous.
