What you will do

The role of the onsite Service engineer for a high-profile commercial client in London. Provide technical support on CCTV, Intruder Alarms, Access Control systems and Fence Line Detection to deliver service that meets the requirements of the design specification while remaining sensitive to costs and service delivery timescales.

How you will do it

  • Review of system design prior to service works and highlighting of any apparent technical, functional or compatibility issues.
  • Position will involve supporting and troubleshooting enterprise level security systems.
  • Assisting the client with face-to-face interaction regarding clients’ technical queries and support on their in-house projects.
  • Ensure the system is serviced and functions in accordance with all relevant industry standards and comply with customer and company health and safety procedures.
  • Commission and configure systems to meet the design specification and customer requirements.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting expertise and manufacturer liaison when required.
  • Conducting Planned Preventative Maintenance and ensuring all relevant documents are passed to the Program Manager.
  • Act as the single point of contact to organise on-site activities.

What we look for

  • Experience within the Security industry with knowledge of repair and maintenance of large systems.
  • Broad general knowledge of CCTV, Access Control and Security systems industry.
  • Expert knowledge in mainstream and top-end Access Control, CCTV and Security systems including cameras, locks, door furniture etc.
  • Extensive experience and working knowledge of high-end CCure 9000 Access Control, Video Edge CCTV systems, Galaxy Intruder Alarm Panels and Fence Line Detection (PIDS).
  • Working knowledge of industry standards, demonstrable knowledge of IP technology and have a logical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Had or have previous experience working in a customer-facing environment.
