Business Development Manager - Public Sector and Government Clients
What you will do
As the Business Development Manager, you will capture increase in market share across the sector in the UKI through identifying key projects, building relationships with specific end users or influencers, and engaging our sales organisation to execute opportunities with a winning mindset.
The role is a senior sales position within the UKI commercial organisation, empowered to work across the enterprise to focus on aligning the needs of the public sector and government customers and delivering outcome-based solutions. It is expected that the successful candidate will hold/generate c-level relationships with target prospects and enterprise accounts within the public sector and government verticals.
Within the UKI, specific go to market initiatives have been identified as high growth / high potential Public sector and government prioritized as an attractive sector. The public sector Go to Market Initiative operates in a team environment with core members & facilitators from across our sales organisation supporting each specific solution or creation of an enterprise approach. The Public Sector and Government Development Manager is one of the core members of the initiative.
Working with the sales community, global accounts teams & facilitators from across the enterprise, identify & qualify new Installation & service opportunities in the public sector and government vertical. Through having an enterprise mindset, you will leverage all our solutions across the projects through discovery and engagement at an early stage. The ability to understand the primary needs of the customer & stakeholders, what is driving their decisions and what outcomes the customer is looking for is essential.
Once a project is qualified, work closely within the team environment to nurture, develop and advance the opportunities with the facilitators to a successful outcome.
This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines. It will require strong people management and commercial skills.
Presentation skills are key to the role, you should also be an articulate, confident speaker. Strong written communication skills are equally essential.
How you will do it
Identify projects across Government and Public sector clients
Lead early-stage discovery & research around each project.
Identify key end users & consultants to develop and build effective relationships
Identify key Contractors within the Life Sciences / Bio-Medical to develop mutual relationships & Public space CCTV and control room applications.
Understand stakeholder needs and develop outcome-based solutions
Leverage facilitators in the organisation to build effective teams
Utilise Salesforce CRM to manage all activity

Demonstrated key relationships within sectors.
Ability to plan, execute and work with teams.
Knowledge of Salesforce CRM desirable
