We’re talking all the complex software and hardware that controls the electrical and mechanical systems within a building. Think thermostats but on a far more complex scale. These systems control lighting, security, fire safety, HVAC and can help reduce carbon emissions and increase operational efficiency. You’ll be working on big projects including hospitals and government buildings.
What You’ll Be Up To:
- Drive around in your own company van—You must be a confident driver
- You will learn how to design, commission, and execute advanced building management control solutions, specifically for Heating, Ventilating & Air Conditioning systems (HVAC)
- Learn from pros on how to plan and manage projects and become a qualified engineer
- Visit a wide variety of customer’s sites and businesses—no two days are the same!
Where You’ll Train:
- United Colleges Group Level 3 Building Services Engineering, progressing into Level 4
- Mix of college learning and hands‑on mentoring
What You’ll Need:
- GCSEs in English & Maths—Grade 5 (C) or above; IT would also be great.
- Full UK Manual driving licence. We don’t accept automatic licences.
- Comfortable working at heights and in all weather conditions.
- Good physical health, the job can be labour intensive at times.
- Happy to travel, work away and stay over in hotels when needed.
- Good vibes: team spirit, hardworking, communication skills, and a love for technology and engineering.
