As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for all Fire Suppression design elements, supporting the business on large and complex projects. This is a hybrid role, based in either our Manchester or Birmingham office with the opportunity to work some of the days remotely as agreed with your Design Manager. Occasional travel to UK sites may be required to perform site surveys, complete progress reviews, mark up drawings, and attend client design meetings.

How you will do it:
- Understand customers and contacts within the business
- Ensure design schedules are met for approval, fabrication, and construction.
- Liaise with Sales and Contract Managers regarding onsite specifications, installation, and bracketing
- Complete Design Risk Assessments
- Daily liaison with internal and external clients/customers
- Work closely with new business colleagues to ensure smooth handover of projects from sales through design to completion with all required deliverables
What we look for:
Required:
- LPCB Basic qualification.
- Fire Suppression Design knowledge using LPCB rules, NFPA, and FM Global standards.
- AutoCAD experience.
- Basic understanding of LPC rules incorporating BS EN 12845, NFPA, and FM Global standards for all hazard classifications.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Design specifications / Presentational Packages.
- Experience producing and working with contractual documentation.
Preferred:
- BIM experience.
