Location: Birmingham (office-based for first 6 months)

What you will do

As a Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering high‑quality fire suppression system designs across regional projects. You will join our Fire Suppression Design Team based in Birmingham. To ensure full training, onboarding, and support, the role will be office‑based for the first 6 months. After this period, hybrid working will be available subject to performance and agreement with your Design Manager. You will also attend occasional UK site visits for surveys, progress reviews, drawing mark-ups, and client design meetings.

How you will do it

  • Interpret and develop customer design requirements
  • Ensure design schedules support approval, fabrication, and construction deadlines
  • Work closely with sales and contract managers on specifications, installation requirements, and bracketing
  • Complete Design Risk Assessments
  • Maintain regular, clear communication with clients
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project handover from sales through to completion

What we look for

Required:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience with sprinkler/fire suppression systems
  • AutoCAD
  • Ability to interpret design drawings and specifications
  • Strong communication and IT skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with 3D Revit
