Johnson Controls is seeking a Metasys Controls Specialist to play a key role in shaping the future of smart buildings for Microsoft’s global campuses and data centers. This is a high-impact, global engineering role where you will lead first-of-kind (FOK) software development, define global standards, and influence how building automation systems are designed and delivered worldwide. How you will do it
- Design, develop, and validate first-of-kind Metasys software, integrations, and advanced control strategies.
- Define and maintain global standards including templates, engineering guidelines, Sequence of Operation (SOOs), and Description of Operation (DOOs).
- Provide technical governance through design reviews, quality assurance, and best-practice alignment across regions.
- Partner closely with Microsoft engineering teams, Johnson Controls R&D, cybersecurity, and global delivery organizations.
- Support complex troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement of controls solutions.

- Strong expertise in Building Automation System.
- Solid background in HVAC controls engineering, BAS design, and sequences of operation.
- Experience with data centers.
- Clear communicator with strong documentation skills and the ability to collaborate across global, cross-functional teams.

- Experience with Johnson Controls Metasys platforms (SNE/SNC, NAE/NCE, CCT, SCT, ADX/ADS).
- Metasys engineering certifications (MSEA / MSEAS).
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with Microsoft facilities, or mission-critical environments.
- Proven experience delivering innovative or first-of-kind building automation or controls solutions.
- Exposure to APIs, system integrations, analytics, or smart building platforms.
