What you will do

  • As a QA Software Engineer you will provide detailed planning, development, design and manual execution of test plans.
  • You will build real world IP network environments and provide critical feedback on the UI and UX of our solutions.
  • In this on-prem Belfast-based position you will be expected to be on site 3 to 5 days a week.

How you will do it

  • Leverage JIRA and Zephyr Scale to document test coverage.
  • Drive quality standards and procedures into the process from the start of development.
  • Lead in the design and execution of test plan development.
  • Develop, modify and execute software test plans for new feature development.
  • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to write test scenarios based on requirements.
  • Contribute as an embedded member of the sprint team with assigned stories.
  • Track progress, open defects and communicate burndowns status during the SDLC.
  • Setup physical environments to verify new technologies, products and defects.

What we look for

  • Up to 5 years of experience as a software test engineer including at least 2 years in manual testing.
  • Experience with writing, developing and executing a test strategy.
  • Experience with troubleshooting best practices and procedures.
  • Self-starter and independent worker.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical degree.
  • Ability to setup and deploy either Windows or Linux environments.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with access control or video surveillance systems.
  • Wireshark knowledge for investigation monitoring.
  • Time management and estimation skills as this role will require independent working.
  • Experience working in Agile environment.
