What you will do
- As a QA Software Engineer you will provide detailed planning, development, design and manual execution of test plans.
- You will build real world IP network environments and provide critical feedback on the UI and UX of our solutions.
- In this on-prem Belfast-based position you will be expected to be on site 3 to 5 days a week.
How you will do it
- Leverage JIRA and Zephyr Scale to document test coverage.
- Drive quality standards and procedures into the process from the start of development.
- Lead in the design and execution of test plan development.
- Develop, modify and execute software test plans for new feature development.
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to write test scenarios based on requirements.
- Contribute as an embedded member of the sprint team with assigned stories.
- Track progress, open defects and communicate burndowns status during the SDLC.
- Setup physical environments to verify new technologies, products and defects.
What we look for
- Up to 5 years of experience as a software test engineer including at least 2 years in manual testing.
- Experience with writing, developing and executing a test strategy.
- Experience with troubleshooting best practices and procedures.
- Self-starter and independent worker.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical degree.
- Ability to setup and deploy either Windows or Linux environments.
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with access control or video surveillance systems.
- Wireshark knowledge for investigation monitoring.
- Time management and estimation skills as this role will require independent working.
- Experience working in Agile environment.
