This role will be based at our Stockport Manufacturing facility where you may work shift patterns so you will need to be able to travel to site. To get on this prestigious apprenticeship programme we require 5’s or C’s in your GCSE English and Maths. Please include your certificates in your application.

At our Stockport production facility we produce fire suppression products that are shipped worldwide. As a maintenance engineer you will play a key role in the production process of our products. What You’ll Be Up To:

  • Learn total productive maintenance across the site and assist the Maintenance team in completing daily duties.
  • Assist in driving a world class manufacturing site with all plant maintenance.
  • Compliance with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policy requirements within area of responsibility.
  • Assist in the daily operations of a busy machining and manufacturing site.
  • Respond to maintenance, breakdowns and project work.
  • Build asset care plans and TPM schedules based on equipment knowledge.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Engineering Manager and team, Production Manager, Quality Manager, Process Engineers and Production Operators.
  • Plan and carry out repair, improvement and preventative maintenance work on all production equipment.
  • Identify continuous improvement of plant, equipment and systems.
  • Effectively log and document reactive and planned maintenance tasks.
  • Support with Planned Maintenance activities during the production shut down periods.

  • Level 3 Maintenance and operations engineering technician
  • Mix of college learning and hands-on mentoring. College is day release.

What You’ll Need:

  • GCSEs in English & Maths-Grade 5 (C) or above
  • Comfortable working at heights
  • Good physical health, the job can be labour intensive at times
  • Team spirit, hardworking, communication skills, and a love for technology and Engineering
