Location: Frome – full-time, on-site

What You Will Do

As a Procurement Administrator, you will support day-to-day operational procurement activities to ensure materials and services are available on time, in the right quantity and quality, to meet business and production needs. You will create and manage purchase orders, monitor supplier delivery performance, resolve supply issues and maintain accurate procurement data across systems. Working closely with Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics and Finance teams, you will help ensure continuity of supply and adherence to procurement processes.

Working Hours:

  • Monday–Thursday: 08:00–17:00 (45-minute break)
  • Friday: 08:00–13:00 (no lunch break)

How You Will Do It

You will coordinate and expedite the flow of purchased materials from approved suppliers, placing, confirming and progressing purchase orders in line with demand and inventory targets. You will maintain regular communication with suppliers to track deliveries, manage changes and proactively resolve delays or shortages. You will support material planning activities by reviewing demand signals, inventory levels and MRP outputs, escalating risks where required. You will ensure procurement data is accurate and up to date, including pricing, lead times and supplier confirmations, and support reporting on supplier performance and inventory metrics.

What We Are Looking For

  • Required GCSEs in Maths and English
  • Experience in a procurement, supply chain or materials coordination role
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Preferred

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management
  • APICS or CIPS qualification (or working towards)
