The predicted salary is between 48000 - 72000 £ per year.
As a post order design engineer, you will be responsible for all Fire Suppression design elements in supporting the business on large/complex projects. You will be part of the JCI Critical Environments Fire Suppression Design Team based out of our Birmingham office, with the opportunity for hybrid remote working based on experience as agreed with your Design Manager. On occasion, it will be necessary to travel to sites around the UK to perform site surveys, complete progress reviews, mark up drawings, and attend client design meetings as required.

How you will do it:
- Understanding of the customers/contacts within business.
- Ensuring design schedule is met for approval, fabrication & construction
- Liaising with sales & contract manager with onsite specifications, installation & bracketing; completing Design Risk Assessments
- Daily liaison with the client/customer both internal and external.
- Working closely with your new business colleagues to ensure a smooth handover of the projects from sales through design and completion with all design deliverables required.
What we look for:
Required:
- LPCB Basic qualification
- AutoCAD experience
- Fire Suppression Design knowledge utilising LPCB rules, NFPA, and FM Global standards
- A basic understanding of LPC Rules incorporating BS EN 12845, NFPA, and FM Global standards for all hazard classifications
- Knowledge of Special risk and deluge system design
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with business internal/external customers to drive customer satisfaction
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Design specifications/Presentational Packages
- Working with and producing contractual documentation
Preferred:
- BIM experience preferred
- Experience in Critical Environment design
