The Indirect Spend Procurement Manager’s role is critical to supporting the effective delivery of projects within the UK & Ireland Field business units, through implementation of the procurement strategy.
Working with Category Managers, buying teams and other internal stakeholders, you will assess and develop the supply base, conduct negotiations, and take ownership of various new initiatives to drive savings and improvements throughout the procurement function. You will deliver and report on key performance metrics at a senior level, driving high performance and continuous improvement.
Collaborating with external suppliers & subcontractors to identify partnership opportunities, you will drive a proactive approach to Procurement leadership, with a focus on delivering long term, sustainable and efficient supply chain agreements.
How will you do it
- Implementing and delivering against specific category strategies
- Leading complex supplier negotiations in relation to savings, payment terms and innovations
- Leading and developing buying team with 3 direct reports
- Encouraging internal collaboration & synergies with other procurement teams (e.g. Category Management)
- Developing & delivering an ambitious savings plan with activity roadmap, as well as additional added-value opportunities
- Collaborating with stakeholders and developing strong relationships internally and externally with the supply chain to ensure engagement & compliance
- Influencing stakeholders to understand, align and deliver against priorities
- Driving a high performance culture through leading Procurement best practice methodology & processes
- Creation and delivery of RFX activities where appropriate using eSourcing platforms to deliver best solution proposals to the business for sourcing decisions
What we are looking for
Required
- Previous experience in similar role with focus on indirect procurement
- Experience in people management and/or development (e.g. mentoring, coaching, training etc)
- People focused with the ability to coach, motivate and lead a diverse team across multiple locations
- Proven track record in delivering transformational results and delivering against savings targets
- Experience managing internal stakeholders and external suppliers at the highest levels
- Confident communicator with stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally
- Experience in best practice Procurement processes including eProcurement
Preferred
- CIPS qualified or holds a relevant business degree (desired, not essential)
