As Controller, you will drive results in the accounting functions that support a list of ledgers and countries. You will serve as an advisor for business/operations leaders to ensure accounting and reporting integrity and effective controls and compliance, confirming consistency to US GAAP and Company policy. This strategic individual will lead the reporting and monitoring of actual results and control of financial results consistent with long-term business objectives. This person will provide direction, training, and counselling to its various stakeholders on a wide variety of business/financial/accounting issues to ensure achievement and alignment of business processes across the enterprise.
How you will do it:
- Drive on-time and quality month-end/quarter-end closure together with R2R.
- Review month-end/quarter-end results for accuracy and completeness.
- Review Manual Journal Entries that are subject to significant judgment as part of the MEC (Month End Closing) Activities.
- Work with Business and R2R to identify explanations and drive corrective actions for BS and P&L fluctuation analysis.
- Ensure accounting and reporting integrity and effective controls and compliance, confirming consistency to US GAAP and Company policy.
- Review certification status for the ledgers in scope.
- Account reconciliation review to ensure timely performance.
- Prepare and maintain communication material to provide status updates and ensure proactive visibility on concerns and issues for timely resolution.
What we look for:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 6+ years’ experience in Finance role in an International Environment.
- Experience in Record to Report/General Ledger and background in Finance, Reporting & Accounting, including Intercompany processes.
- Excellent communication skills, including experience in presenting to high-level management.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to influence across the organization.
- Previous experience in change management, project management, or consulting.
- General accounting and controlling knowledge.
- Hands-on working style.
- Fluent in English; other additional European languages are an advantage.
Preferred:
- CPA or experience working in controllership functions.
- Previous exposure/experience in global or regional finance shared services.
- Familiarity with OneStream, Oracle, and ERP global templates.
