What you will do
Join Johnson Controls UK&I Service team as an HVACR Service Engineer, with a strong focus on chiller systems. This on-site role in Capenhurst (CH1) supports our mission as a leading provider of equipment, controls, and services for HVAC, refrigeration, and security systems.
You’ll work closely with a skilled team, acting as the main contact for technical service issues and routine maintenance. We’re specifically looking for candidates with hands‑on experience in servicing and maintaining chillers, as this will be central to the role.
How you will do it
You’ll troubleshoot and resolve HVACR issues efficiently, following defined processes and service agreements. Preventative maintenance (PPM) will be a key part of your role, along with clear communication of findings, next steps, and upgrade recommendations.
Customer communication is essential, and you’ll prepare detailed service reports and technical documentation. Safety is a top priority, and your independent contributions will support the team’s overall success.
What we look for
- Recognised HVAC qualification: NVQ Level 2, 3 or equivalent
- Proven experience with chiller service, maintenance, and breakdowns
- HVAC service experience in air conditioning industry
- F‑GAS 2079 Cat 1 qualification
- Familiarity with manufacturers like Daikin, Hitachi, Toshiba, Mitsubishi Electric
- Knowledge of DX, Split, VRV systems, fan coil units, panel coolers, small and large chillers, AHUs & ventilation equipment
- Electrical and controls experience
- Ability to interpret technical documents (e.g., electrical schemes, fluid/piping diagrams)
- Self‑sufficient and detail‑oriented team player
- Full UK driving licence
