Our EMEA Procurement Team is looking for an experienced professional responsible for procurement in the Global Products/ Industrial Business within Johnson Controls EMEA region. You will be the business partner to the VP/GMs of the respective business units and responsible for all aspects of Procurement within the business. You will report directly to VP Procurement EMEA region and dotted line to the VP/GMs of the businesses. We look for candidates who feel comfortable working in a global matrix organization providing best cost, highest quality, and highest service levels to our factories in the EMEA region.

How you will do it:

  • Responsible for delivering annual goals such as supplier quality, on-time delivery, cost savings, trade working capital improvement, supply base rationalization and revenue growth.
  • Manage internal relationships with key business stakeholders including business unit VP/GMs and functional leaders such as BU controller, transformation leader, HR, IT, installation excellence, and service leader.
  • Actively engage in business planning process to support business goals and objectives.
  • Be an active member of the BU senior leadership team.
  • Develop a true partnership with the business with deep understanding of the business strategy, goals and objectives and translate into strategic procurement actions that deliver value.
  • Lead a team of approximately 50 procurement professionals located throughout the EMEA region.
  • Develop and implement annual strategic and tactical plans for the function.
  • Drive continuous improvement and functional excellence through the Johnson Controls Business System, leveraging leading internal and external best practices.
  • Interface with regional and global category management organizations to support the development and implementation/execution of category strategies.
  • Responsible for the talent development and succession planning within the BU procurement function, with support from central procurement talent development team.
  • Drive efficiency and simplification of Procure to Pay processes within the BU.

What we look for:

  • Required 15+ years of procurement experience.
  • Proven experience leading procurement activities across multiple plants within the EMEA region.
  • Ability to drive strategic supplier partnerships fostering innovations with business stakeholders and strategic category management.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to manage complex supplier partnerships driving year over year continuous improvement.
  • Proven experience in people management within complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Experience applying Lean methodologies to streamline procurement processes and enhance value creation.
  • Extensive experience overseeing large-scale procurement budgets of €400M or more.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to influence and drive alignment on complex strategies with the business.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement policy, processes, and tools in a highly efficient shared service center architecture.
  • Results driven. Able to achieve goals, self-motivate, take initiative, and generally operate with minimal supervision.
  • Able to challenge status quo and create innovative sourcing ideas that drive cost reduction.

Preferred:

  • Experience and track record of driving results in a project-based installation and service business.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration.
