The Role
We are looking for a Senior CAD Engineer to join a high-performing, multi-site CAD team supporting projects across:
- Oil & Gas (Norwich)
- Fire Suppression Systems (Aberdeen)
- Electrical Systems – PAVA / PAGA (Nottingham)
You will lead the delivery of 2D drawings (AutoCAD) and 3D models/assemblies (Autodesk Inventor), producing complex, high-quality outputs suitable for manufacture and installation, in line with JCI CAD governance and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and review 2D drawings using AutoCAD
- Develop complex 3D models and assemblies in Inventor
- Deliver designs to fabrication-ready standard
- Ensure CAD outputs are controlled, traceable, and compliant with standards
- Collaborate with engineering, fabrication, and project teams
- Support multi-discipline projects (Oil & Gas, Fire, Electrical)
- Contribute to CAD checking, review, and continuous improvement
- Coordinate effectively across UK and offshore teams
About You
Essential
- 5+ years’ CAD experience
- Strong AutoCAD (2D) capability
- Experience with 3D modelling/assemblies (Inventor or similar)
- Proven delivery of high-quality engineering drawings
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Desirable
- Oil & Gas, Fire or Electrical systems experience
- Multi-discipline project exposure
- Knowledge of CAD standards, revision control, and checking processes
Qualifications
Engineering Degree (preferred) or HNC/HND
