As a CAD/Design Engineer within Johnson Controls, you will support the design and delivery of engineering solutions across our systems portfolio, working closely with project and service teams. You will be responsible for producing accurate technical drawings, supporting system design, and ensuring installations meet customer and regulatory requirements. This is a collaborative role with a mix of office-based design work and engagement with project teams and customers, with occasional travel as required.

How You Will Do It
- Produce detailed CAD drawings and design documentation aligned to project specifications
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers and customers to develop tailored system designs
- Support site surveys and translate findings into accurate technical drawings and layouts
- Assist in system design, installation planning and commissioning phases
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards, regulations and internal processes
- Maintain accurate records, design revisions and technical documentation
- Provide technical support to internal teams and assist with resolving design-related issues
- Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and engineering standards
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in a CAD / Design Engineering role within electrical, mechanical or building systems
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD or similar)
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, layouts and system design principles
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate into practical designs
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage priorities
