The Pre-Fabrication Detailing Lead will be responsible for the production of manufacture drawings for offsite Assets including pump skids, Multistorey risers and Combined distribution modules.

  • Detailed knowledge of the Pre-Fabrication Detailing Lead role
  • Detailed knowledge of piping design and spooling requirements
  • Degree or Trade qualified in a Mechanical / Building Services Engineering or related HVAC Discipline
  • 8-10 Years’ experience in a similar role
  • Advanced knowledge of 3D software including Autodesk Auto CAD, Revit and Fabrication MEP.
  • Roles and responsibilities
  • Production of 3D models and manufacture drawings for offsite modules.
  • Generation of piping Isometrics from P&AIDs & Material Specifications.
  • Design of optimum Plant room equipment layouts for efficient services routing.
  • Ensuring proposed designs are developed in compliance with the factory requirements, equipment details, logistics and final location constraints.
  • Issue completed 3D models to project teams for incorporation into the federated model.
  • Review and interrogation of designs to optimise installation and pre-fabrication opportunities.
  • Development of templates and Standards, Methods and Procedures (SMP’s) in relation to Prefabrication detailing to ensure a consistent quality of delivery is produced.
  • Manage 3d content library and models in line with technical submittals.
  • Incorporating Lessons learned and feedback from projects and the fabrication facility team into the SMP’s.
  • Lead a team of detailers, assigning resources to project and ensuring works are completed in line with defined SMP’s.
  • Identify workload peaks and Liaise with 3rd parties, ensuring works are completed to program and in line with the SMP’s.
  • Tracking of worked hours per asset and reporting for all team members on a weekly basis.
  • Liaising with 3rd party structural engineers to ensure produced drawings are receive structural sign off.
  • Management of the delivery schedule in line with the Contract Programme
  • Development and management of Pre-Fabrication programme whilst working with the Prefab Manager.
  • Production of progress reports in line with Pre-Fabrication programme identifying any potential delays and implementation of any required mitigation measures.
  • Seeking to clarify queries with the Design team through request for information (RFI) system
  • Producing look ahead programs to assist production
  • Carrying out Quality Control through inspections and snagging both during Pre-Fabrication build and once Pre-Fabrication components are received at site
  • Carrying out document control, recording & transmitting information to other members of the Project Team
  • Production of all necessary Engineering documentation to support the Pre-Fabrication strategy
