The Opportunity

We are seeking a Loans Agency Ops specialist to join a growing loan operations team. This role requires a strong understanding of loan facility agreements and the ability to coordinate effectively with lenders, borrowers and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate execution of contractual obligations throughout the loan lifecycle. You will operate with minimal supervision and act as a trusted escalation point for agency matters, combining technical expertise with stakeholder management to support the effective administration of syndicated facilities.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Loan Life-Cycle Administration
    • Administer syndicated loan facilities in accordance with the terms of loan facility agreements
    • Support the Facility Agent role, coordinating between borrowers and lenders on operational matters
    • Manage drawdowns, rollovers, repayments, interest payments and fee calculations in line with facility documentation
    • Maintain accurate loan records, notices and registers (lender participations, commitments, utilisations)
  • Understanding & Application of Loan Documentation
    • Demonstrate strong understanding of loan facility agreements including conditions precedent, events of default, and interest/fee/repayment provisions
    • Review loan documentation to ensure operational requirements are correctly implemented
    • Identify discrepancies between loan agreements and operational processes and escalate where necessary
  • Stakeholder Coordination
    • Liaise with relationship managers, internal legal, lenders, borrowers and internal operations teams
    • Prepare and circulate notices, confirmations and statements to lenders and borrowers
    • Support onboarding of new lenders or transfers of loan participations
  • Knowledge Sharing
    • Provide technical guidance and informal mentoring to junior administrators
    • Act as a subject matter reference for complex agency matters

What We're Looking For

  • Essential Experience
    • Minimum 5 years in loan administration, loan agency services experience. Hands-on experience administering syndicated loans is essential
    • Experience supporting secondary loan trading processes

    • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and complex transactions
