As Senior Business Development Director, you will be responsible for expanding the firm’s UK presence through relationship-led origination and strategic market engagement. Key responsibilities include:
Business Development & Market Engagement- Originate new agency and trustee mandates through your established sponsor, fund and law firm network
- Execute a UK-focused BD strategy aligned with wider European growth plans
- Represent the firm at leading European conferences and industry events
- Work closely with transaction management and operations teams across multiple European offices
- Support complex loan closings and ongoing mandates, ensuring a consistently high client experience
- Stay close to market developments to identify new opportunities and areas for innovation
- Mentor and support a junior team member
- Participate in regular cross-border strategy discussions with senior leadership
- Provide structured pipeline updates and commercial insights to management
You’re an established BD professional in syndicated lending, with a strong reputation and trusted client relationships. You will bring:
- Proven business development experience within loans, trustee services or fund administration
- A demonstrable track record of originating mandates via sponsors and/or law firms
- Strong understanding of loan closing mechanics and transaction lifecycles
