The Opportunity
We are recruiting a Senior Loans Officer to join a specialist loan agency ops team. This is a technically demanding role for an experienced syndicated loans professional who can operate independently as a subject matter expert across the full life cycle of complex loan facilities. This goes beyond day-to-day processing—you will be trusted to exercise sound judgement, manage risk and uphold the highest standards of agency service.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of all borrower and lender cashflows in accordance with credit documentation.
- Administer a portfolio of complex syndicated loan facilities across multiple structures and currencies.
- Interpret and apply credit agreements, amendments, waivers, transfers and consents with a high degree of autonomy.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for borrowers, lenders, arrangers and internal legal counsel.
Risk, Control & Governance
- Identify and mitigate operational and documentation risks within the agency portfolio.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support audit, reviews and control testing by providing technical explanations and evidence.
Minimum 3-5 years in loan administration, agency services or corporate banking operations.
Strong understanding of loan facility agreements from an operational standpoint.
Strong sense of accountability and risk awareness.
You will work on a diverse portfolio of complex facilities with the flexibility of hybrid working (8 days per month from home, managed flexibly to suit your needs) and a competitive salary up to £65,000 (depending on experience), including full banking benefits and annual discretionary bonus.
