We are working with one of our most highly regarded clients who are looking to recruit a Credit Agency Associate into their growing Real Estate team. This is a permanent opportunity to join a dynamic, specialist environment supporting complex real estate lending transactions.
About the Role
The Credit Agency Associate will act as a central point of contact for borrowers, lending teams, syndicate lenders, and sub-participants. You will be responsible for managing the operational and documentation lifecycle for real estate loans, with a particular focus on covenant compliance, documentation, consent processes, and data integrity. This role will suit someone with strong agency experience and exposure to real estate finance, particularly development lending. You’ll be confident navigating complex LMA documentation and providing high-quality support across internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and manage data rooms (e.g., Debt Domain), including lender permissions, borrower access, and document workflows
- Guide borrowers on system usage and covenant upload requirements
- Create and maintain covenant schedules; ensure timely receipt, review, and distribution of financial and covenant data
- Track lender assignments and update platforms to reflect changes in syndicate composition
- Execute secondary trade documentation and manage outside assignments
- Support KYC onboarding and tax documentation for new counterparties
- Monitor compliance and escalate covenant breaches where applicable
- Act as primary liaison for lender and participant queries
- Produce MI, KRIs, and assist in risk event analysis to identify and close operational gaps
- Lead or support consent and waiver processes in partnership with internal stakeholders and external parties

Technical Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a Loan agency role, specifically with a focus on real estate transactions
- Strong knowledge of syndicated lending, security arrangements, and covenant monitoring
- Ability to interpret and operationalise credit and legal terms effectively
- Comfort with LMA documentation and complex credit structures
- Familiarity with secondary loan trades and assignment procedures
- Experience using systems such as Loan IQ or Debt Domain preferred but not essential.
