The Role
You’ll play a vital role in maximising tenancy renewals across your portfolio. You’ll work closely with both landlords and tenants, guiding them through the renewals process while ensuring compliance, strong communication, and commercially sound outcomes.
Your Responsibilities as a Renewals Negotiator
- Managing your own portfolio of tenancy renewals.
- Producing renewal letters for landlords and tenants ahead of tenancy expiry dates.
- Researching local market conditions to advise landlords on suitable renewal terms in line with the Renters Right Act.
- Negotiating and agreeing terms between landlords and tenants.
- Ensuring all renewals activity is accurately recorded and compliant on internal systems.
- Processing renewals through the online portal while issuing all relevant documentation such as a section 8.
- Managing compliance checks including EICR, EPC and Right to Rent requirements.
- Executing tenancy agreements and ensuring all documentation is completed correctly.
- Handling end-of-tenancy processes such as Section 21 notices and deposit returns.
- Identifying opportunities to retain tenants and promote additional services where appropriate.

- Experience in a renewals or residential lettings role.
- Knowledge of the regulatory framework within the lettings sector.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Resilience and professionalism when handling challenging situations.
- IT literacy and CRM experience.
