Hours: Evening Shift, Mon‑Fri 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM. No weekend work is required.

Job Summary: The goal of the Pharmacy Clinical Specialist, Emergency Center is to promote the safe and effective use of medications by working collaboratively with prescribers and the multidisciplinary health care team. This position contributes to the department’s goals by providing safe medication therapy within defined practice areas.

Responsibilities include:

  • Promote the safe and effective use of medications with prescribers and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Provide a complete assessment, recommendation, and monitoring of pharmacotherapy for specific patients.
  • Ensure high-quality, evidence-based standards for pharmacy practice.
  • Contribute to patient outcomes that meet JHACH high care standards.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy with a Pharm.D.
  • Completion of ASHP-accredited PGY2 Pharmacy Residency in Pediatrics or relevant specialty OR completion of ASHP accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency and 2 years hospital experience with pediatric patients OR 4 years hospital experience with pediatric patients.
  • Eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Florida (must be obtained prior to start date).
  • BCPPS or relevant specialty board certification preferred (must be obtained within 2 years of hire).
  • PALS certification preferred (must be obtained within 90 days of hire).

Salary Range: Minimum $65.68 per hour – Maximum $105.08 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
