Position Summary
The PCT provides direct patient care tasks under the direction of the registered nurse, performing activities documented in the competency documentation. Occasionally requires internal and external communications to exchange relevant information.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma.
- One year of clinical experience or successful completion of an internship program.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, Medical Assistant (MA) certification, or equivalent.
- Other certifications: Nursing student with completed fundamental nursing skills coursework; Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with completed coursework; Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (provided by AHA).
