  • 36 hours/week; benefits
  • 12‑hour shift: 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Unit Overview

The Pediatric Medicine Unit provides specialized care for patients from infancy through age 21, treating conditions such as cystic fibrosis, diabetes, eating disorders, asthma, short gut, failure to thrive, and inflammatory bowel disease, among others.

Position Summary

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs direct patient care tasks under the direction of the Registered Nurse and performs various tasks as competency documentation designates. Work occasionally requires internal contacts outside the work group to exchange relevant information. Communication with external contacts involves providing or giving factual information.

Education / Experience

  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma.
  • One year of clinical experience is required or successful completion of an intern program.

Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, Medical Assistant (MA) certification, or one of the following:
  • A nursing student or LPN who has completed fundamental nursing skills coursework.
  • An Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.
  • BLS certification provided by AHA.

Salary Range

Minimum $17.37/hour – Maximum $26.91/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
