We are seeking a Newborn Hearing Screener for a long-term, per diem role.
Key Accountabilities
- Performs hearing screenings in assigned locations.
- Follows test protocols to ensure minimum age, patient test state and stable criteria are met before screening.
- Uses appropriate test techniques for preparation and proper electrode placement.
- Performs hearing screenings using established protocols and demonstrates effective strategies to maximize accurate test results.
- Promptly and accurately completes all screening documentation, including but not limited to, the hearing screening results form, hearing screening log sheet and call log.
- Communicates the newborn hearing screening process and results to parents and provides appropriate educational materials.
- Accurately submits billing paperwork within the same working day of hearing screening.
- Identifies all new births and enters patient demographic data into the screening equipment.
- Performs proper hand hygiene and follows established equipment cleaning protocols.
- Demonstrates service excellence and provides a safe environment for patient care.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a High School diploma, GED, Certificate of Completion or equivalent achievement.
- Current BLS certification, AHA.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
Salary Range: Minimum 22.00/hour - Maximum 22.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
