Under minimal supervision, the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the efficient and accurate provision of medications according to established standards of practice. The role coordinates technician-defined activities such as unit dose distribution, IV admixture compounding, purchasing, controlled substances, drug preparation, pharmacy automation, investigational drug services, and inventory control.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in supervision, scheduling, payroll maintenance, administration of disciplinary action, and evaluation of technical personnel under the direction of the Pharmacy Director and/or Inpatient Manager.
- Participate in recruitment activities and hiring decisions; coordinate training and provide in-service training in specialty areas.
- Initiate performance improvement activities to increase the scope and quality of pharmacy services and customer service.
- Perform technician duties when required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required. If no Bachelor’s degree, a high school diploma and eight years of equivalent experience is required.
- Minimum of 3 years related experience; previous supervisory experience is a plus.
- Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Florida.
- Analytical ability to solve problems, diagnose equipment issues, and correct potential errors.
- Excellent prioritization, customer service, and interpersonal skills.

Location: Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, St. Petersburg, FL
Salary Range: Minimum $25.32 per hour – Maximum $40.52 per hour. Salary commensurate with equity and experience.
