Responsible for the administrative support functions that assist Vice Presidents and above in the fulfillment of various duties. Independently functions to complete high-end and complex duties in a well-organized and timely manner. Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to provide information and service to a wide range of internal and external contacts. Requires knowledge of John Hopkins and departmental policies and procedures.
Key Accountabilities
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Provides a wide range of complex office administration and support to the highest-ranking members of the health system.
- Serves as the principal administrative contact and liaison with all hospital constituents and external contacts.
- Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Develops, implements, and administers departmental policies and procedures and office systems; interprets and communicates policies and processes.
- Serves as the principal contact and source of information for customers of the department.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Manages complex calendars; arranges for meetings, appointments, and travel plans.
- Prioritises conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.
Qualifications
- BS/BA with no experience or Associate Degree with 2 years' directly related experience or HD diploma/GED with 4 years of directly related experience.
- Project coordination and database management experience.
- Full comprehension of office management systems and procedures, with knowledge of MS Office.
- Proficient in the English language (read, write, speak).
Salary Range
$23.02/hour - $36.83/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
