Work Location: Sarasota Memorial Hospital, 2600 Laurel Road East, North Venice

Work Hours: 7 (24 hour) shifts in 2 weeks. Must be within 30 minutes from the hospital.

Sign On Bonus: $15,000 for New Grad or $30,000 Sign on Bonus for those candidates that qualify and have 3+ years of Level III or IV NICU APP experience.

Role Overview: The neonatal nurse practitioner or Physician Assistant is an Advanced Practice Provider who demonstrates expertise in the clinical management of the neonate and infant. The provider role is multi‐faceted and includes clinical management of the high‐risk neonate and infant, educational responsibilities, administrative duties, consulting, and initiating/implementing research. The neonatal nurse provider works in collaboration with medical, nursing and support services to provide family centered care. The neonatal nurse provider maintains active participation in his/her own continued education and professional development.

Requirements:

  • Clinical Master's Degree in Nursing or DNP, Masters in Physician Assistant Studies.
  • Current Florida State Licensure as APRN or a PA.
  • Current BLS and PALS (NRP in lieu of PALS if NNP).
  • Current Licensure in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse/Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, or PA.
  • Current National Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or a PA.
  • Requires 3 years of Level III or greater NICU experience.

Salary Range: Minimum 53.58/hour - Maximum 83.58/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
