POSITION SUMMARY
The CT Technologist will obtain quality diagnostic CT images for interpretation by the radiologist. Assists with clerical duties, and possesses knowledge of computers RIS, PACS.
Key Accountabilities
- Produces and Evaluates images to assist the radiologist with timely interpretation of imaging exams and patients for treatment and plan of care for patients.
- Adheres to image specific policies in regards to patient safety that are established by the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, regulatory, and accreditation governing bodies.
- Maintains required levels of education that pertains to clinical, family, and patient centered care.
- Performs Computed Tomography Imaging (CT) studies utilizing knowledge of instrumentation and ionizing radiation (special attention to low dose), cross sectional anatomy, along with technology and skills to produce quality CT images for interpretation by a Radiologist.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a High School diploma, GED, Certificate of Completion or equivalent achievement.
- Completion of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program.
- Registered by ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) in both radiography(R) and Computed Tomography (CT) - Licensure by the State of Florida Department of Health, Office of Radiation Control.
- Current Basic Life Support, AHA.
- Advanced knowledge of computer applications (RIS, and PACS).
- Auditory and visual acuity to properly perform imaging tests and procedures; manual dexterity necessary to operate imaging equipment and computer applications.
Location: St. Petersburg, FL
Shift: Saturday & Sunday, 7am - 7:30p (2-12 hour shifts per week)
Status: Part-Time Limited (24 hours per week)
Salary Range: Minimum 30.19/hour - Maximum 48.30/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
