Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a competent and knowledgeable Commercial & Domestic Heating Engineer to join our friendly and dynamic team. John Williams Heating Services is a well-established family-run business with over 20 years of experience providing high-quality heating services across Wiltshire and the surrounding areas. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining the highest standards of workmanship.
We are looking for an experienced engineer to carry out servicing, maintenance, fault finding, repairs and installations across both domestic and commercial heating systems. The role will involve working on a variety of gas, LPG and oil-fired appliances in homes, schools, offices, care homes, commercial premises and public buildings. The successful candidate will be reliable, customer-focused and capable of working independently whilst representing our company professionally. Ongoing training is provided, along with opportunities to develop new skills and gain additional qualifications.
Main Responsibilities- Servicing, maintenance and repair of domestic and commercial heating systems.
- Fault finding and diagnosis on boilers, heating controls and associated plant.
- Carrying out gas safety inspections and certification.
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown work.
- Installation and commissioning of heating appliances and systems.
- Completing all relevant paperwork and digital reports accurately.
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with current regulations.
- Providing excellent customer service and maintaining strong client relationships.

- Minimum 3 years' experience servicing and repairing heating systems.
- Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
