About the Role: The Senior Manager, Platform Operations oversees a team of Page Builder specialists who configure Wiley Online Library microsites (hubs) and product-level content, and who are focused on creating consistent, reliable, and positive user experience for WOL customers and ensure that output and operations align with Research Publishing strategy and objectives.
As the effective business owner of Page Builder for Research Publishing, this leader monitors use of the tool to identify and champion application enhancements that will increase operational efficiency. On a broader scale, they ensure that Research Publishing's portfolio needs are understood, and that the most appropriate and scalable solutions are provided.
The Senior Manager, Platform Operations partners closely with other leads in the Publishing Operations organization, reporting directly to the Senior Director, Publishing Operations and working towards a shared vision and achievable objectives for Wiley Online Library.
- Lead a team of Web Producers; ensure they are coached, trained and provided with development opportunities in their roles.
- Monitor team performance.
- Define and enable robust business processes for on/off-boarding new products and microsites to Wiley Online Library; lead wide-scale Page Builder configuration efforts.
- Coordinate UAT and/or regression testing for Page Builder feature enhancements and bug fixes.
- Advocate with WOL Product team for platform development to enhance and support Web Producers daily output; manage and support workload of team by aligning with other areas of the business on major projects to ensure appropriate expectations of timelines and output.
- Report to leadership on agreed performance metrics and team achievements.
Required Qualifications: The appropriate candidate will have web production experience along with experience in managing individual contributors. They will be comfortable presenting to and working with clients or customers and adept at managing projects for internal/external clients. They will also have knowledge of and interest in emerging web technologies, excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to solve complex problems and take a new perspective on existing solutions. Bachelor's degree and/or other advanced degrees.
