We are looking for a kind, reliable and compassionate Night Care Assistant to join our team at Whitgift House.
About the role
As a Night Care Assistant, you will assist in the delivery of person-centred care and support for residents with their daily living needs, promoting dignity, comfort, and independence.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- To provide service users with support and assistance as they accomplish activities of daily living.
- To ensure that service users are at the heart of care delivery and their wishes and preferences are taken into consideration to enhance their wellbeing.
- To contribute to the efficient running of the service.
- To support service users to maintain their relationships and connections with the local community.
- To ensure care plans and other information about how to support service users are followed.
- To be responsible for informing the Night Team Leader (Nursing) of any changes in the needs of service users.
- To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the service users they support.
- To support service users with Chronic or Acute conditions.
Working with Others
- To develop effective working relationships with other employees within the service.
- To work in cooperation with members of the multidisciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for service users.
- To maintain and develop relationships with the service user’s family, friends and other people important in their life, if desired by the service user.
- To operate under the guidance of the Registered Nurse at all times.
Personal and Professional Development
- To understand the regulatory framework that governs the service, including the role of the CQC and its requirements.
- To commit to achieving the relevant qualifications commensurate with the role.
- To attend statutory training and any other training as directed by management.
- To understand and follow all policies and procedures relevant to the role.
- To adhere to the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers and Adult Social Care Workers in England.
