We are seeking to appoint a full time Clerk to Governors & Compliance Officer. The role includes the responsibilities of a Clerk to Governors and a Compliance Officer. The Clerk to Governors reports to the Chair of Governors and the Compliance Officer reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide and guard the School's governance, ensuring quality and efficiency; liaise closely with the Headmaster and Executive Team.
  • Provide professional clerking services to the Governing Body, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Support regulatory and inspection compliance, advising Governors and senior leaders on compliance actions, and supporting leaders responsible for compliance areas.
  • Support oversight of compliance with Independent Schools Standards Regulations (ISSRs), National Minimum Standards for Boarding, UKVI Sponsorship requirements, DfE and ISI regulatory guidance.
  • Provide support to the Senior Deputy and PA before, during and after inspection visits, keep senior leaders and Governors informed of changes in legislation and regulatory requirements, and conduct internal compliance audits as required.

Working Hours

Full time (flexibility regarding working hours required).
