John West UK is looking for a Demand Planning Manager to lead the demand planning process and deliver a high-quality, data-driven forecast for our branded ambient seafood portfolio. This is a key role within the Supply Chain function, partnering closely with Commercial, Marketing, and Customer Supply Chain teams to improve forecast accuracy, strengthen service levels, and drive continuous improvement through statistical modelling and best-in-class planning practices. The role will report to Senior Planning Manager and will be based in our Liverpool office.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end demand planning process, ensuring an accurate and reliable demand forecast.
- Work cross-functionally with Commercial and Marketing teams to align on demand drivers and promotional plans.
- Embed and enhance statistical forecasting models, using demand planning tools and advanced analytics.
- Drive continuous improvement in forecasting performance, focusing on forecast accuracy, bias, and error reduction.
- Collaborate with the wider Supply Chain and Global S&OP teams to resolve constraints and support supply planning decisions.
- Provide clear insight and recommendations to support business decision-making.

About You:
- Proven experience in Demand Planning within FMCG / consumer products.
- Strong knowledge of forecasting methodologies and statistical modelling.
- Experience using demand planning systems/tools and working with large datasets.
- Strong analytical mindset, able to translate data into practical business actions.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to align teams with different priorities.
- A proactive, detail-focused approach with strong ownership and accountability.
- Supply Chain certifications such as APICS CPIM / CSCP or IBF forecasting certification are advantageous.
