Join one of Central Scotland's leading independent builders' merchants. At JW Grant, our drivers are a vital part of our success. We are seeking a professional, customer-focused HGV Driver to join our team.
£35,000 – £40,000 On-Target Earnings
- £14.75 per hour base rate
- Structured daily overtime (1 hour per day) paid at time and a half (£22.13 per hour)
- Saturday rota (1 in 3, 8 am–12 pm) paid at overtime rate
- £1,600 annual performance bonus paid quarterly
Overtime is structured as part of the working week. Drivers are expected to arrive early to complete vehicle checks and prepare for departure before customer gates open.
Responsibilities
- Deliver building materials safely and efficiently across Renfrewshire and surrounding areas
- Load and unload vehicles safely (HIAB/Crane, where applicable)
- Check all loads thoroughly before departure to ensure accuracy
- Maintain tight delivery schedules
- Complete daily vehicle checks and comply with all transport regulations
- Adhere strictly to Health & Safety procedures
- Represent JW Grant professionally on customer sites
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 HGV licence (minimum)
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service
- Organised, punctual and reliable
- HIAB/Crane ticket advantageous (training available)
