Job Purpose: We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our Finance Team to deliver high quality information, control and service to the business in the pursuit of its objectives. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial and management accounting, understand fundamental finance workflows as well as the importance of key internal controls. The individual should have the ability to work within cross functional teams to deliver high quality analysis and process improvements. The successful candidate will have good IT, analytical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work to tight timelines.
Key Accountabilities:
- Assist in the preparation of a high quality monthly management accounts pack with supporting schedules for internal and Board reporting.
- Reconciliation of key Control accounts.
- Prepare, review and complete monthly stock reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, timely resolution of discrepancies and integrity of inventory records.
- Oversee treasury activities including cashflow monitoring, FX hedging and liquidity management.
- Assistance with preparation of annual budgets.
- Review of monthly overheads with key budget holders.
- Preparation of statutory accounts basis and liaison with external auditors.
- Support and guidance to the Credit Controller in relation to credit control activities.
- Continuously review status of and opportunities for internal control effectiveness within the business.
- Leading and managing, value-adding process improvement projects within the Finance department and across the wider business.
- Collaboration with other functions to identify and deliver process improvement initiatives.
Person Specification:
- Newly qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) or at least four years experience in a similar role.
- Ability to analyse data and present clear findings.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and other MS suite applications.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the finance team, other departments and stakeholders.
- Experience within a manufacturing background desirable.
