Responsibilities
- Responsible for the safety of the Patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
- Must be able to work in situations with isolation precautions.
- Provide frequent checks on patients that have a Patient Watch Order.
- Provide direction to patient to ensure that they do not fall or wander off.
- Record and document patient behavior.
- Must be able to travel with patient when needed.
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
- The ability to stay mobile according to the patients' movement including the ability to stand for periods of time.
- Must be able to work in situations with isolation precautions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous work experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Experience as a Patient Care Technician, Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, EMT, Nurse Aide Training, or current Nursing/Psychology student are all preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required prior to performing patient observation.
Compensation
Minimum rate of $17.12 hourly. HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members. The posted rate of pay in this job posting is a reasonable good faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act and does not reflect the full value of our market-competitive total rewards package.
