Position: Inventory Control Coordinator manages the hospital's inventory located in the general storeroom. Ensures that proper products are stocked and amounts are maintained on hand to satisfy customers' needs. Monitors inventory weekly through cycle counts and daily site inspections to ensure proper amounts are on hand. Receives and dispenses medical/surgical supplies to all user departments and outpatients in a prompt and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
- Monitors all Lawson inventory reports and transactions (WH130, IC222, PO30). All reports are reviewed and corrected a minimum of three times per day. All corrections are cleared daily.
- Verifies/signs for incoming warehouse supplies and records receipt appropriately. All receipts are documented, signed and maintained in department files on a daily basis.
- Processes all vendor return forms. Assembles and packages all goods. All outgoing packages are securely and neatly packaged in accordance with UPS, Federal Express, Freight Companies and/or US postal requirements. Documents the return in Lawson to enable proper credit to the department. Ensures proper documentation as required by Hackensack Meridian Health.
- Exhibits excellent customer service skills. Maintains a courteous/friendly customer service attitude at all times. Keeps a clean and customer-friendly area. Problem-solves and directs customers effectively. Makes information available to help customers find and document products taken from inventory. Handles issues appropriately and timely.
- Interacts with all Material Management customers, internal and external. Communicates with hospital personnel and others.
- Delivers/directs orders to departments. All orders are delivered the same day they are received. Signatures are received and filed in the Receiving Department daily.
- Fills requests for supplies and inputs issues accurately. Physical counts are within 5% of system balances.
- Assists in conducting cycle counts. Ensures cycle counts are done weekly. Forwards reports to Supervisor on time.
- Maintains on-hand inventory and rotates stock to prevent loss. Inspects warehouse to ensure adequate level of goods are on hand to service our customers. Shelves are properly labeled.
- Reviews matrix reports daily for access to the storeroom and reconciles with products removed from inventory.
- Tracks, maintains and restocks all Specialty Carts (e.g., Crash cart, Isolation, GU and Latex free Carts). Implements updates and communicates changes to required parties.
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned. Adheres to HMH organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma, GED, GED-equivalent programs, and/or other vocational degrees/certificates.
- Knowledge of Lawson Materials Management System.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.

Compensation: Starting at $22.77 Hourly. HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members.
