Main Purpose Of The Role: Managing the accounts of a busy firm of Chartered Surveyors, to carry out bookkeeping & accounting tasks.
Principal Duties:
- Payroll administration
- VAT & other tax returns
- Bookkeeping & preparing bank reconciliations and controls
- Processing of invoices and payments
- Audit, allocations and transfers of property rental payments
- Preparing monthly management reports
- Assisting with business development and future planning
- Timesheet audit
- Auction room payments
- Overseeing insurance renewals
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:
- Education to a minimum of A level/GNVQ or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years bookkeeping experience
- Good working knowledge of VAT and payroll
- Knowledge of QuickBooks or other accountancy and payroll software
- Good level of IT knowledge and skills
Skills and Personal Qualities:
- Professional attitude
- Good knowledge of office administration
- Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate work
- Plan and organise tasks/priorities
- Demonstrate good self motivation
