Teaching Assistant (more than one role available)

Permanent – Term Time only 39.2 weeks per year

Part Time working 27.5 hours per week – Flexible options available including Job Share and Apprenticeship routes

Salary: Grade 4*(SCP 6 – 7) £25,989 – £26,403 per annum pro rata * based on qualified status

Actual starting salary £16,773.78 - £17,040.98 per annum

Apprentice candidates will be paid on government apprenticeship rates.

John Taylor Multi Academy Trust (JTMAT) is a partner academy within the Trust and is looking for a caring, motivated and enthusiastic individual to support students, deliver small group interventions and lessons for students who have additional Literacy needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Support students to access the curriculum within the classroom, supporting teachers and in small groups as directed by senior staff or teachers.
  • Deliver small group interventions and lessons for students with additional Literacy needs.
  • Work independently and as a dedicated team player, embracing strategies directed by professional colleagues.
  • Maintain good Maths and English skills and an aptitude to support students’ academic progress.
