Attendance & SEND Officer

John Taylor Multi Academy Trust (JTMAT) is seeking a part‑time permanent appointment (32 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, term time plus 5 INSET days) to serve as the first point of contact for parents and carers regarding attendance and to support the efficient management of student absence and SEND information.

The position will provide high‑quality administrative support to the SENCo and senior leaders, coordinate attendance review meetings and SEND annual reviews, and ensure statutory processes are completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed timescales.

The role also involves maintaining compliant, secure and effective attendance and SEND records, and producing timely, accurate information.

  • Act as the first point of contact for parents and carers regarding attendance.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff, the Education Welfare Officer and external professionals to promote excellent attendance and remove barriers to learning.
  • Coordinate attendance review meetings and SEND annual reviews, ensuring statutory processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and within agreed timescales.
  • Maintain compliant, secure and effective attendance and SEND records.
  • Provide high‑quality administrative support to the SENCo and senior leaders.
  • Produce timely, accurate information.
