Permanent, full time – 37 hours per week for 39.2 weeks per year (term‑time only plus 6 INSET days). Salary: Grade 7 (SCP 15‑22) £30,024 – £33,699 per annum pro rata. Actual salary: £26,072.28 – £29,263.58 per annum.

John Taylor Multi Academy Trust (JTMAT) believes in the power of education to improve lives – and the world. As a partner academy in JTMAT, we are seeking to appoint a hardworking, committed and enthusiastic Assistant SENDCo to join our evolving organisation.

Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Headteacher and SENDCo to coordinate the support provision for students with Special Educational Needs.
  • This includes coordinating the annual reviews of students with individual needs, gathering documentation, distributing to all relevant parties, attending review meetings and ensuring completed paperwork is distributed appropriately.
  • The candidate will oversee deployment of Learning Support Assistants, ensuring staffing is effectively allocated to meet student needs and support is delivered efficiently across the school.
  • The role may also involve delivering tailored interventions based on the candidate’s area(s) of interest and expertise.
  • All staff are expected to be role models for students, demonstrating the highest standards of teamwork, collaboration and respect.
