We’re looking for a Final Garment Examiner to join our Finishing Department at our historic Lea Mills in Matlock. This vital role ensures every garment leaving our Mill meets our exacting standards of craftsmanship, consistency, and care. If you have an eye for detail, enjoy hands-on work, and take satisfaction in seeing a perfect finished product, this could be the ideal role for you.
What You’ll Do:
- Carry out detailed inspections of finished garments against approved quality standards.
- Identify, label any faults or defects for correction.
- Verify repairs and ensure garments meet the required standard before packing.
- Work closely with the Finishing and Production teams to highlight and resolve quality issues.
- Accurately report inspection findings and communicate faults to relevant stakeholders for action.
- Keep your work area organised, tidy, and compliant with Health & Safety standards.
- Uphold John Smedley’s long-standing reputation for excellence in every piece you handle.
