At John Smeaton Academy, we are looking for an inspirational Teacher of Girls’ PE who shares our ambition, values and commitment to ensuring all students succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Teach and inspire girls across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them to reach their full potential in Physical Education.
  • Work in the new Fitness Suite and deliver lessons at the John Smeaton Leisure Centre.
  • Collaborate with a department that values high expectations, strong relationships and excellent outcomes for students.

Qualifications

  • Be either a trainee teacher successfully completing placement(s) teaching at KS3 & KS4 (applicants currently in training).
  • Or a colleague with a successful record of teaching, strong examination results at one or more of KS3 & KS4 and who has already gained Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Have a detailed knowledge of current developments in education, including effective use of the Pupil Premium.
  • Be able to put vision into practice and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons.
