We are seeking an OFCI Manager to join our Data Centre team in London. Reporting to the Sisk MEP Lead, the OFCI Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) mechanical and electrical equipment on Data Centre projects, including procurement coordination, design integration, manufacturing, delivery, installation, commissioning, and handover. The role ensures timely, cost-effective, and compliant delivery, acting as the key interface between the Client, Vendors, Sisk, and project teams to ensure effective coordination and seamless system integration.
Responsibilities
- Leadership, Planning & Coordination
- Lead the coordination and delivery of all OFCI packages across the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with programme, cost, and quality objectives.
- Interface with Client, Lead Project Manager, vendors, and contractors to ensure clear communication, accountability, and alignment of deliverables.
- Ensure implementation of project procedures, governance processes, and reporting structures for OFCI scope.
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and ensure timely escalation and resolution of issues.
- Procurement & Vendor Management
- Provide oversight of OFCI procurement strategy, vendor onboarding, and equipment delivery schedules.
- Engage with vendors early to identify and mitigate risks across design, manufacturing, and logistics stages.
- Align Vendor Equipment Schedules with overall project programme.
- Attend and oversee Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Factory Witness Testing (FWT) to ensure quality compliance.
- Design Integration & Technical Assurance
- Ensure all vendor technical submittals are reviewed and comply with project specifications and design intent.
- Coordinate integration of OFCI equipment with CSA, MEP, and control systems (e.g. MV/LV, UPS, Generators, BAS/EPMS).
- Manage system interfaces including power, containment, structural supports, and control integration.
- Ensure design changes are assessed, controlled, and communicated effectively.
- Logistics, Installation & Site Coordination
- Ensure delivery, inspection, and traceability of OFCI equipment from factory through to installation.
- Coordinate with the subcontractors to ensure installation readiness, including builder’s work, power provision, access, and environmental conditions.
- Ensure installation is carried out in accordance with approved method statements, vendor requirements, and quality standards.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, safety, and quality, ensuring non-conformances are tracked and closed out.
- Commissioning & Handover
- Coordinate integration of OFCI vendor activities into commissioning plans and project schedules.
- Support and oversee Level 2 - Level 4 commissioning activities, ensuring systems are tested, validated, and meet performance requirements.
- Ensure completion of ITPs, test scripts, and commissioning records.
- Manage handover of OFCI systems including documentation, certification, warranties, and demonstration to the Client.
- Risk, Quality & Reporting
- Identify and manage OFCI-related risks including vendor delays, design coordination issues, manufacturing quality, and installation constraints.
- Ensure QA/QC processes are implemented across manufacturing, delivery, installation, and commissioning stages.
- Monitor and report on OFCI package performance including progress, quality metrics, and issue tracking.
- Support change management, variation assessment, and programme impact analysis.
Experience
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience, including at least 2 years on Data Centre or critical infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing or coordinating OFCI/ Vendor equipment across design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and handover.
- Strong understanding of MEP supply chain, including CFCI/ OFCI delivery models and vendor integration.
- Experience across project lifecycle including pre-construction, coordination, installation, commissioning, and handover.
- Exposure to Level 3 commissioning and integration of vendor scope into project delivery.
- Experience in QA/ QC, FAT/ FWT, and inspection of critical equipment.
- Strong knowledge of Data Centre systems (MV/ LV, UPS, generators, mechanical, BAS/ EPMS).
- Ability to manage progress, quality, safety, and non-conformances.
- Understanding of QMS, ITPs, commissioning and handover requirements, including client systems.
- Strong client-facing communication, coordination, and organisational skills.
Qualifications
- Mechanical or Electrical qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Project, Word) and document platforms (e.g. Procore, Bluebeam).
- Knowledge of safety, commissioning, and quality management processes.
